Tech Tree Games is hiring a Gameplay Engineer to work from PT ± 3 hours
The Yetee is a leading direct to customer online retailer known for creating bespoke and exciting apparel/merch for video games and other pop culture. Since 2011, we’ve offered new tee designs daily from our amazing artist community. Our audience returns every day to see the new designs. Alongside that we’ve curated excellent relationships with indie-game partners like Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight and Darkest Dungeon— as well as partnerships with AAA game studios like Capcom, Konami and Sega. We produce so many amazing items and we need your help to make sure our customers can find our items at events across the country.
As the Events Co-ordinator, you will play the key role in our in-person events. You will be working closely with our product, marketing and warehouse teams to ensure each event is well planned, properly staffed, and executed smoothly. During events, you will act as the primary on-site contact and coordinate day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role focused on logistics, staffing, sales support, and on-site execution. You will also be a key element in our support of our charity partner Games Done Quick and their benefactors Prevent Cancer Foundation and Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
This is a new position for our company and our goal is to expand our business operations. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable traveling, enjoys live event environments, and can manage multiple priorities at once.
Responsibilities
Event Planning and Execution
Coordinate planning and execution for assigned live events
Serve as the primary on-site contact during events
Manage timelines, checklists, and on-site execution before, during and after shows
Staffing and On-Site Leadership
Hire, schedule, and manage temporary event staff and contractor
Lead staff on-site and ensure coverage for setup, sales, and tear down.
Address issues and problem solve in real time during events
Logistics and Operations
Coordinate shipping, freight, inventory, and booth logistics
Work directly with venues, vendors, and event organizers
Travel to HQ as needed for preparation, load-outs, and post-event wrap-ups
Product, Marketing, and Sales Coordination
Collaborate with product and marketing teams to plan product selection and quantities
Coordinate promotions, launches, and booth presentation
Oversee on-site sales operations and basic reporting
Provide post-event feedback and performance insights
Requirements
Proficient written and spoken English communication skills are required for this position.
Market Knowledge: An understanding and experience with video games and pop culture.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to travel frequently and work non-traditional hours during events
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to HQ or events when needed
Ability to manage staff, logistics, and on-site operations
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience coordinating live events, conventions, or experiential marketing
Experience with on-site sales or merchandising is a plus
Knowledge of Commerce tools: Shopify, POS systems

Location:
Illinois preferred. Open to candidates within reasonable driving distance of 60505.
Travel Expected:
Approximately 40 to 55 percent annually, concentrated around event months
Compensation:
Salaried Contract starting at $50,000 based on qualifications
Fixed Term W2 Contractor 12 months. Extensions / Long term possible.
Sales goal based bonuses for non-charity events.
