Tech Tree Games is hiring a Gameplay Engineer to work from PT ± 3 hours
At Mystic Interactive, we are game enthusiasts who bring our passion and talent together to push the envelope of what’s possible in VR gaming. We are looking for a talented Senior 3D Environment Artist who can create immersive, optimized virtual worlds by modeling, texturing, and lighting 3D assets in Unity. They collaborate with designers to build, set-dress, and optimize, ensuring high performance (low latency/high framerate) and visual consistency in 360-degree environments for our first VR multiplayer game. We are looking for someone who is creative, independent, collaborative, self-motivating, flexible, dynamic and thrives in ambiguous situations.
This job is for a 1099 contract for 4 months.

Key Responsibilities
Concept Design: Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and create high-quality 3D assets and environments.
Modeling & Asset Creation: Create high-quality 3D props, architecture, and landscapes using Maya, Blender, or ZBrush.
Texturing & PBR Workflows: Develop realistic or stylized materials using Substance Painter/Designer, focusing on PBR.
Optimization: Create LODs and meticulously optimize assets to ensure smooth performance (high frame rates) in VR, which is critical to avoid user motion sickness.
Scene Assembly & Set Dressing: Assemble, light, and lay out environments in Unity
Collaboration: Work with Lead Artist to align with the visual style and gameplay requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Art Style: Experience and deep interest in stylized hand-painted art
Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating, lighting, texturing, and modeling skills, particularly in VR or real-time projects.
Software Proficiency: Experience with 3D modeling tools (Maya, Blender) and texturing software (Substance Suite, Photoshop).
Engine Knowledge: Strong experience with Unity, Should be proficient with the concept of PBR workflow with Unity 3D
VR Knowledge: Understanding of VR performance constraints and optimization techniques.
Technical Art Skills: Knowledge of shaders, UV mapping, and lighting.
Preferred Qualifications
Expert in creating low-poly assets.
4+ years of experience in game development, with a focus on creating assets for games or simulations.
