Unknown Worlds Entertainment is hiring a Senior Gameplay Engineer to work on Subnautica 2. The role involves developing, debugging, and optimizing gameplay systems using Unreal Engine 5 in a multiplayer environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop gameplay systems and features
- Write high-quality, optimized, and bug-free code
- Implement multiplayer gameplay systems
- Build scalable tools and systems
- Collaborate with designers, QA, and production teams
- Ensure performance and memory optimization
Requirements:
- Expert in Unreal Engine 5 and C++
- Strong experience with Blueprints
- 5+ years in game development
- Multiplayer systems experience
- At least one shipped Unreal Engine title
- Strong communication and remote work ability
Preferred:
- Gameplay Ability System (GAS)
- Early access game experience
- Automated testing and build systems
